Setting out on I-90 
taking a trip to the West
A caravan of 3 to the Black Hills, 
"the very best".

One "grandma" (me), 
2 daughters and 1 son,
1 son-in-law and 7 grand-children
We had so much fun.

A side trip through the badlands
their painted beauty so bold
Mount Rushmore, awesome, majestic,
a sight to behold.

Of course we had to stop at Wall Drug
and a hand of poker
Wonder if the Lady's hand
held the joker?

A "hotel/RV" for the women
A little rain and cold mixed in,
and three tents 
for the "macho" men.

Firing up the grill
and eating good
We also burned a lot
of firewood.


We saw many animals in the wild,
but the donkeys were the friendliest by far
you could get out to feed them
or they came right to the car.

Three petite ladies
prim and proper
One dance hall girl
she's quite the stopper.


Only one thing would have made it better
if my other son, son-in-law and grandson
could have been with us, but they were
there in spirit and in our hearts.....

As my son-in-law said
"God Bless America"
There sure is a lot of amazing
things of beauty to see in the USA.

Even though it was cold and rainy
a good time was had by all.
