I am sure that each one of us has been guilty
of trying to change someone. We have to
remember that we are all God's children, and
He made us all different for a reason.
Maybe we have a visible handicap, maybe we
aren't as pretty/handsome as the next person, or a
little bit too heavy or too thin, maybe we have some
bad habits, but each of these things make us the person
that we are, and God loves us.
The following poem, sent to me by a friend, really says it all.
Love each other for who they are, not for what you would
like them to be.....and you will find they will love you
in return.

Change
I cannot change the way I am,
I never really try,
God made me different and unique,
I never ask him why.
If I appear peculiar,
There's nothing I can do,
You must accept me as I am
As I've accepted you.
God made a casting of each life
Then threw the old away

So often we will criticize,
The things that others do
But, do you know, they do not think,
The same as me and you.
So God in all his wisdom,
