"Dreaming of Snow"

To see the beauty of fresh fallen snow
the moon light makes it glisten and glow
Bundled up warm to shield the cold crisp air
walking so slowly with ne'er a care 

Not a footstep in sight as you glance around
the crunching of the snow, what a beautiful sound
To lay down in the snow and make a "snow" angel is fun
it is hard to resist to make at least one 

Back home again from your walk in the night
your cheeks all red from the cold, oh what a sight
Drinking hot chocolate, and having a talk
about the next fresh snow and the next fun walk

One of the best memories I have of my childhood
is taking one of those walks with my Mother. We
would wait until late at night when the snow had
ended, and it was quiet and cold. 
We would bundle all up and just her and I would
go for a walk in the fresh snow. The snow would
sparkle like diamonds with the moon shining on it. 
As you walked along, you could hear the snow crunch
beneath your feet.
It was especially fun at Christmas time with all
the lights aglow in the houses along the way.
Then and now I will always say...
"I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas"
