Dads are special people no home should be without,
For every family will agree, they're so nice to have about.

They are a happy mixture of a small boy and a man,
And they're very necessary in every family plan.

Sometimes they're most demanding, stern, firm and tough,
But underneath they're soft as silk, for this is just a bluff.

For in any kind of trouble Dad reaches out his hand,
And you can always count on him to help and understand.

And while we do not praise Dad as often as we should,
We love him and admire him, and while that's understood,

It's only fair to emphasize his importance and his worth,
For if there were no loving dads, this would be a loveless earth.

The Little Chap Who Follows Me 

A careful man I ought to be; 
A little fellow follows me; 
I do not dare to go astray 
For fear he'll go the self-same way. 

I must not madly step aside, 
Where pleasure's paths are smooth and wide, 
And join in wine's red revelry-- 
A little fellow follows me. 

1 cannot once escape his eyes: 
Whatever he sees me do he tries-- 
Like me, he says, he's going to be; 
The little chap who follows me. 

He thinks that I am good and fine,

The base in me he must not see,

       enough to still have your Fathers,  
 Take the time to tell him how    
    "special" he is to you on this day
      of his. Whether he is close enough
     for a visit, or far away so a phone
   call will have to do, Just do it!!!!

        For those of us who no longer have
          our Fathers with us, just remember,
    He is always,
   "Near You"
