"Christmas Time"

Now that Thanksgiving is over, the hustle bustle of Christmas begins.
We get busy shopping, spending a lot of time picking out just the right
gift for each person on our list.
We are busy cooking and baking, getting ready for family and friends
who come to visit.
We are up late at night, wrapping gifts so the little children don't see.
They are oh so excited for Santa to get here.

But, in all this rush have we forgotten the "True" meaning of Christmas?
Have we along with telling our small children about Santa Claus also told
them the story about Mary and Joseph, and how the baby Jesus was born in a
stable. About the 3 wise men being guided to the new born baby by a star
in the sky.
Have we forgotten?

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them,
and they were terrified. But the angel said to them "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news
of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has
been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you:
You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger".
Luke 2: 9-12

So as we begin this most Holy of seasons...
Let us all help to put Christ back into Christmas.
Let us teach our children to say,

"Happy Birthday Baby Jesus"
