Stroll Down Memory Lane

Songs come and go, but there are some that last generation through generation, and are still enjoyed by young and old.
Whether it be the waltz, the polka, the two step, or just an old, slow, belt buckle polishing song, they just never
seem to leave us.........

Tennessee Waltz

I was dancin' with my darlin' to the Tennessee Waltz
when an old friend I happened to see...
I introduced her to my loved one
And while they were dancin'
My friend stole my sweetheart from me...

I remember the night, and the Tennessee Waltz
Now I know just how much I have lost.
Yes, I lost my little darlin' the night they were playing
The beautiful Tennessee Waltz...

We have been
........... "Lost In The Fifties"
Then.......................... ."On to the Sixties"
Then........................ "A Teenager In Love"

with....... ~StinaLisa~

Now Lets "Stroll (or dance) Down Memory Lane"

As the years go by, and you are just sitting
"Home On The Range"   you begin to wonder,
what ever happened to the day he brought
flowers, even if they were only "Paper Roses"?
Is it possible that I am thinking, "I Wish I Were Single Again"? Or could it be possible "He's Too Old To Cut The Mustard Anymore"?

Then I remember him saying, "I'll Always Be In Love With You",  and I sure don't want to give up those "Candy Kisses".  I made up my mind right then and there, "There Will Be Some Changes Made".  So when he walked through the door I said, "Hey Good Looking", "Give Me A Little Kiss, Will Ya Huh"?
He danced a jig and said, "Zippity Doo Dah".

From that day on, we  were no longer those
"Old Folks At Home". We were "Stepping High".

That night as we walked into the old dance hall,
he took me by the arm, looked at everybody there,
and said, " Ain't She Sweet"?

We danced every dance that night, who could resist
"The Beer Barrel Polka"?  We were almost out of
breath, and then came "Just Another Polka".

  Finally someone said, "Oh no",
"It's Three O'clock In The Morning".  As the dance was ending he said, "is this" "The Waltz You Saved For Me"?  Then he looked at me and said,
"Can I Have This Dance"?

As we were getting ready to leave he said, "Put On Your Old Gray Bonnet" and "I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen" because....
"There's No Place Like Home".
